Meet the men and woman of the Sesobe Sewing Cirle
Reuben is 40 years old, and lives in Sesobe
Reuben completed his matric and went on to study field guiding receiving his NQF Level 1. After this he studied to become an electrician has passed his NQF Level 2.
He takes care of his nieces and nephews in Sesobe. Reuben enjoys embroidering rhinos and uses the money he generates from his sales to help support his family.
Action is 37 years old and lives in Sesobe.
He left school in Grade 7 but still dreams of becoming a boiler maker. He is very keen on carpentry and makes goods in his spare time.
Action has two children; a son and daughter. He is making use of the income derived from his embroidered rhinos to support his children.
Aletta is 53, she is a mother to a son and a daughter.
She spends her time looking after her family and would love to start her own baking business in Sesobe.
Alette loves exercise, especially aerobics and goes on long walks with her friends.
Aletta will use the income she earns from the Tshukudu project to continue funding her daughter’s nursing studies.
Itumeleng is 21, she is the mother of a two-year-old girl, Omlemo.
She dropped out of secondary school in grade 10 to look after Omlemo. Itumeleng works in security for the local clinic in Sesobe. She would love to study Information Technology and a pursue a career in the field.
She would like to use the income she earns from the Tshukudu Project to help support her mother.
